(Butte County, CA) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued $4,244,370.17 to Paradise Community Village Apartments and $3,187,709.27 to Butte County to assist with disaster recovery following the 2018 Camp Fire.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced an additional $14,666,667 to California to continue disaster recovery efforts after the November 2018 wildfires, including the Camp Fire. These funds can be used for disaster clean up, continued employment and training for displaced workers.

(Washington, DC) — Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued Community Development Block Grants to Chico, Paradise, and Redding, CA in the amounts of $512,416, $99,852, and $447,450 respectively. These grants were issued after the House passed the CARES Act on March 27th, 2020. Community Development Block Grants provide flexible funding to state and local governments for a range of services to address coronavirus impacts at the local level.

Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after FEMA issued two federal grants totaling nearly $16.5 million to the State of California for Carr Fire recovery. The first grant issued almost $6.5 million in federal funding to the city of Redding for the restoration of their power grid. The second grant issued almost $10 million in funding due to a federal cost share increase from 75% to 90% to the California Department of Resources Recycle and Recovery (CalRecycle) for debris removal per a provision in H.J.Res. 31 secured by Congressman LaMalfa.
