LaMalfa Statement on State of the Union

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump issued the State of the Union Address in the House Chamber at the Capitol.

LaMalfa said: "The President's optimistic view of America's future has never faltered, and tonight was certainly no exception. Since the President took office, America's economy has been booming and people of every background are finding new opportunities to prosper. The President reaffirmed that he is dedicated to improving the lives of the working family by increasing their quality of life and keeping them safe. He called on Congress to work to lower the costs of healthcare, curtail surprise medical bills, empower families with school choice, honor our law enforcement and our veterans as we saw with some touching tributes, and tackle a major threat to our public safety – sanctuary cities. I will continue to work with the President to create a better future for working families."
