The U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy each require a Congressional nomination in order to attend. The admissions process is highly competitive.

(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after voting for two bills, H.R. 1865 and H.R. 1158, that will fund both domestic and military portions of the government. Both bills passed with wide bipartisan support and now head to the Senate. The bills need to be signed by December 20th to avoid a government shutdown.

The bill makes significant changes to the H-2A visa program including allowing year round workers that are vital to the nations struggling dairy farmers.
