(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) voted in favor of H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act, to enshrine the right of parents to have a voice in their child's education and express the sense of Congress that parents are the supreme authority in their child's lives.

(Chico, CA) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) introduced H.R. 1585, the Prohibiting Parental Secrecy Policies in Schools Act of 2023, to strengthen parental rights in schools and strike down Chico Unified School District’s “Parental Secrecy Policy”.

Washington DC- Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R- Richvale) announced that he has nominated 16 northern California residents as candidates to the United States Service Academies. The U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy each require a Congressional nomination in order to attend.

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman LaMalfa joined his Republican colleagues to call upon President Biden to fire Education Secretary Miguel Cardona in light of his solicitation of the infamous letter from the National School Boards Association (NSBA) that compares parents who protested at school board meetings to domestic terrorists and calls for them to be investigated by the federal government.

(Paradise, CA) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) announced a $1,027,716.65 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the temporary relocation of Children’s Community Charter School in Paradise, CA. Children’s Community Charter School was destroyed in the 2018 Camp Fire, and this funding will allow for school to take place until their new facility is ready to occupy.
