LaMalfa Announces Winner for 2019 Congressional Art Competition

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) congratulated Forest Wong for winning this year’s Congressional High School Art Competition representing California’s 1st Congressional District. Her piece, titled May the Forest be With You will be displayed in the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. for one year. Forest attends Oroville High School in Oroville, California.
LaMalfa said: “For this year’s Congressional Art Competition, my office asked for submissions that celebrate NorCal’s renewable resources. Our winning entrant is Forest Wong, whose self-portrait May the Forest be With You embodies that theme well. Thank you to all of the talented students who participated in the competition this year. Congratulations to Forest, we look forward to having your artwork represent California’s 1st District in the United States Capitol!”
