This comes after Rep. LaMalfa and many of his House colleagues sent a letter to the OMB, requesting comprehensive forest management and wildland fire budgeting reforms.

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the Office of National Drug Control Policy announced $500,000 in grant funding for the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) program has been awarded to California’s 1st District. Coalitions in Auburn, Chico, Redding, and Red Bluff will each receive $125,000. The purpose of the grants is to provide local community coalitions funding to prevent youth substance use, including prescription drugs, marijuana, tobacco, and alcohol.
