(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) announced that the IRS has extended Federal tax filing deadlines to October 16th, 2023, for residents and businesses in counties in disaster-areas of California. In addition, farmers who choose to forgo making estimated tax payments and normally file their returns by March 1st will now have until Oct.

Congressman LaMalfa previously served as the Ranking Member of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry in the 116th and 117th Congresses.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R- Richvale) voted in support of H.R. 21, the Strategic Production Response Act, to restore America’s depleted Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) and fortify domestic energy independence. This bill would require the Biden Administration to replenish and maintain the SPR, ensuring our nation is prepared for a weather or wartime emergency, and require that any future non-emergency releases are accompanied with a plan from the Secretary of Energy to increase the percentage of federal lands and waters leased for oil and gas production.
