(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the House voted on and passed the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024, by a vote of 357-70. The bill was passed under suspension of the rules, a streamlined process that sidesteps the Rules Committee’s approval and amendment process but requires a two-thirds majority for passage.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressmen Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) and Greg Stanton’s (D-AZ) legislation, H.R. 7070, the Wildfire Response Improvement Act, was passed out of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. It is now eligible to be voted on the House floor.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) voted against final passage of the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). In July of this year, the House passed a different version of the annual defense policy bill, which Congressman LaMalfa supported. The version voted on today is a combination of the House and Senate’s bill that now includes an extension of a warrantless surveillance program through April 19, 2024.

Res. 918 will allow the committees of jurisdiction - Oversight, Judiciary and Ways and Means - to continue gathering evidence through former-Speaker McCarthy’s ongoing inquiry and eventually conclude whether sufficient grounds for impeachment exists.
