LaMalfa Supports Bill to Fund Federal Government and Provide Aid for Hurricane Harvey
(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the House passed a bill to provide more than $15 billion in disaster aid for victims of Hurricane Harvey, raise the debt ceiling, and fund the federal government until December 8th.
LaMalfa said: “This package provides some much needed aid for those that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey, as well as damage expected to be caused by Hurricane Irma. FEMA is quickly running out of money, and it was important that we provide the funds to help Texas, Louisiana, and Florida recover as quickly as possible. It is also important that we keep the government funded while we look for a long term solution, and this package keeps the lights on for another three months.”
