LaMalfa Announces Grant Funding for Chico Municipal Airport

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced $1,998,500 in grant funding to rehabilitate the taxiway at the Chico Municipal Airport.

LaMalfa said: "The Chico Municipal Airport is an important hub for many types of aviation in Butte County. Rural airports often rely on DOT grants to help modernize the airport's infrastructure and improve safety. In this case, funding will be primarily used to revitalize existing taxiways, and I look forward to seeing its implementation soon."

Congressman LaMalfa serves on the Aviation Subcommittee on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which oversees all airports in the United States.
