Rep. LaMalfa Recognizes Armed Services Day

Washington, DC – Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) today released the following statement in recognition of Armed Forces Day, which honors all members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard on the third Saturday of May each year. "I'm proud of the fact that California's First District is home to a large number of active and retired members of the armed services, many of whom are leaders in our communities. Our friends, neighbors and family members volunteer to put themselves in harm's way in order to protect our freedoms, so it would be even more appropriate for us to recognize their service every day." Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California's First Congressional District including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.
