LaMalfa Announces Winner for Congressional Art Competition

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) congratulated Isabella McMurry for winning this year's Congressional High School Art Competition representing California's 1st Congressional District. Her piece, titled "I am Columbia" will be displayed in the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. for one year. Isabella attends Inspire School of Arts and Sciences in Chico, California.
LaMalfa said: "Congratulations to Isabella for winning this year's Congressional Art Competition, and thank you to the many talented high school students who participated. My office received many deserving submissions, but Isabella's artwork, I am Columbia, perfectly represents our theme, America the Beautiful. I look forward to seeing it displayed in the U.S. Capitol for all to admire."

The winner of this year's Congressional Art Competition for California's 1st District, I am Columbia by Isabella McMurry.
Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California's First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.
