LaMalfa Announces Over $6 Million to Placer County from Federal Transit Administration

(Placer County, CA) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) announced the Federal Transit Administration is awarding Placer County $6,342,693 in Urbanized Area Formula Funds. Funding will be provided at a 100 percent federal share, with no local match required, and will be available to support operating, capital, and other expenses incurred beginning January 20, 2020 as a result of COVID-19. This grant was issued after the House passed the CARES Act on March 27th, 2020 with Congressman LaMalfa's support.

LaMalfa said: "The COVID-19 shutdown affected every part of our economy and way of life. This grant funding will ensure Placer County's transportation system can continue to operate and provide services for the residents who depend on it."
