LaMalfa Announces Grant Funding for Redding Municipal Airport
(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded $2,582,557.00 to rehabilitate the taxiway at Redding Municipal Airport.
LaMalfa said: “Redding Municipal Airport is a critical hub for commercial travel as well as general aviation in Northern California. This funding will help to increase safety on the taxiway and improve operations at the airport, which helps keep an important rural airport like this on the map for commercial service.”
Earlier this year, Congressman LaMalfa was named to the Aviation Subcommittee on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which oversees all airports in the United States.
Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California’s First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.
