The bill, HR 3, was passed by the Natural Resources Committee and will now be considered on the House floor.

H.R. 1406 allows private sector workers the option of accumulating compensatory time, or “comp time,” rather than receiving overtime cash wages.

Specifically, the amendment requires the use of existing electronic databases to determine whether applicants are prohibited from receiving food stamp benefits.
