LaMalfa ensured language was included in the bill to prohibit permits for the dredged or fill material from normal farming, ranching, or irrigation activities.

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) testified at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) hearing regarding the California ripe olive industry and the damage being done by dumping of ripe olives from Spain. Last year, Congressman LaMalfa led a bipartisan letter to Department of Commerce Secretary Ross in support of the U.S. ripe olive industry’s import relief petition against unfairly traded ripe olives from Spain.
