(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) joined 32 Republican Members of Congress in introducing the Stop Sexualization of Children Act of 2022. This legislation will prohibit federal, state, local governments, and private organizations from using federal tax dollars to expose children under 10 to sexually explicit material.

(McArthur, CA) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) announced the official renaming of the Post Office located at 44160 State Highway 299 East Suite 1 in McArthur, to the "Janet Lucille Oilar Post Office". Congressman LaMalfa previously introduced this designation as a bill in August of 2018, and it was signed into law in December of that year.

(Washington, D.C.) – Congressmen Doug LaMalfa (CA-01) and Scott Peters (CA-52) introduced legislation to combat the use of banned pesticides on illegal cannabis cultivation sites on public land. The Targeting and Offsetting Existing Illegal Contaminants (TOXIC) Act remedies the environmental damage caused by banned pesticides to public lands and raises criminal penalties for those who illegally grow marijuana on federal property using banned pesticides.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressmen Doug LaMalfa (R – Calif.) and Chris Pappas (D – N.H.) introduced new legislation to help cover the out-of-pocket expenses that veterans and their caregivers incur when traveling to receive medical care provided through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In response to high inflation, the Veterans Medical Mileage Adjustment Act of 2022 would increase the mileage reimbursement rate for the Beneficiary Travel Program for eligible veterans who have to travel more than seven miles, or more than 14 miles round trip, for VA-related health care.
