Rep. LaMalfa Honored as “Guardian of Small Business” by National Federation of Independent Businesses

September 18, 2014

Washington, DC – Representative Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) today announced that he has received the "Guardian of Small Business" award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). The nation's largest small business advocacy association, NFIB represents 350,000 small business-owner members and gives them a voice in public policy-making. LaMalfa was chosen for the award based on his outstanding voting record on behalf of America's small-business owners in the 113th Congress.

"As a small business owner myself, I am humbled to receive this award," said LaMalfa. "I have the utmost respect for small business owners: they are courageous men and women working day in and day out in the face of tough economic circumstances and overbearing government regulations. Small businesses make up the overwhelming majority of our nation's employers, and it's important that we get government out of the way so that they can continue creating jobs."

"The record shows that Rep. LaMalfa is a true champion of small business, supporting the votes that matter in the 113th Congress," added NFIB President and CEO Dan Danner. "This award reflects our members' appreciation for supporting the NFIB pro-growth agenda for small business."
