Rep. LaMalfa Announces Congressional Fire Forums in Siskiyou County

Washington, DC – Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) announced that he will be hosting a Congressional Fire Forum at two separate locations on Wednesday April 8th, 2015. The Congressman and his staff will be on hand to hear how residents were impacted by Siskiyou County fires and discuss forest management reforms to reduce the threat of fires.

"Wildfires had devastating impacts on the North State in 2014," said Rep. LaMalfa. "This Congressional Fire Forum is an important opportunity to bring our community together to discuss last year's fires and how they were managed. I'm looking forward to hearing Siskiyou County residents' thoughts, experiences and suggestions."

These forums will be focused on the on the 2014 fires in Siskiyou County and will include presentations organized by Siskiyou County Supervisor Ray Haupt. Those in attendance are encouraged to give their input on impacts and forest management.

The Congressional Fire Forums will be hosted in the following locations at the following times:
